Different worlds.
One curious practice.

The stage, the studio, the startup. Each has taught me something about making things that work for people.

Theatre × technology

01

ADL · 2007–2010

Code meets the stage.

At ADL, I developed software for live performances: surtitling, multimedia, and sound and light control. My collaborations with Instant Cafe Theatre Company extend from 2008 to now.

Local AI. Practical learning.

MySotongkoo is a local-AI solution for executive training. I’m exploring Python and Textual apps with AI-assisted development to make AI something people can work with, question, and learn from.

03 / How I approach the work

Make something.
Learn something.
Go again.

I move between strategy and practice. A prototype gives us something to respond to; working with people helps us see what to change.

  1. 01

    Pay attention.

Start with people and their context. Listen, observe, and look at the system around the problem before deciding what it needs.

    Understand
  2. 02

    Connect the unexpected.

Bring art, technology, and different perspectives into the same conversation. Design experiences that help people create together.

    Synthesise
  3. 03

    Make it tangible.

Sketch, prototype, build. Turn a promising idea into something people can use, question, and improve.

    Prototype
  4. 04

    Test in the world.

Notice what happens. Use feedback to adapt the work and help the team learn as it goes.

Many threads.

A space for something real

I’m Reza Rosli, a media lab artist, technologist and facilitator in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

My journey into media lab arts began in university, evolving through years of work in theatre, creative agencies, and entrepreneurial startups. Over 25+ years, I’ve navigated technology, product development, and organisational change.

At Arc Worldwide, Leo Burnett, and Tribal DDB, I worked at the intersection of creative vision and production. At SalesCandy and Onepoint, I served as the key engineering driver, developing deep organisational and product development skills while building systems that turned ideas into sustained delivery.

Today, I’m bringing these experiences together as a multidisciplinary trainer and practitioner, alongside my work at Antara Methods in Kuala Lumpur.

Art, writing, and facilitation are part of how I investigate the world. Making is a way of knowing.
